Dancer was initially bought into the stud in 2001, siring Roseview Flashdance for us. He was then lent to Pendock Stud in 2003. He returned home and, when the stud was dispersed in 2004, he was loaned to Telynau Stud for 2004 and 2005 seasons. From there he was sold to Megland Stud and then went to Halymyres in Scotland. When the chance arose to have him back in 2008 it was taken in order to secure his future.

He has since been offered a lovely home, running with a small herd of quality mares, in Dumfries.

He has now joined his mares in Scotland, at the Pennally and Carglen Studs, where he will spend the rest of his days.

We had him gelded and then qualified him for HOYS 6 weeks later.

Rio has not proved to be the most co-operative stallion for covering purposes and, as a result, the decision was made to sell him as a ridden pony. He was snapped up immediately by Kim and Emer Cowley from Leicester. Before he joins them he had to be gelded. It is a shame but, in the circumstances, it is the best thing for him. However, Kerrells Razzetta is scanned in foal to him.
